A single mother with asthma is cared for while attending school and is now a full time nurse with health benefits.
A young wife and mother of two small children had a successful thyroidectomy after cancer is found and is able to care for her family.
A husband and father is enrolled in a vocational training program and tutors students at his daughter’s school while being cared for after having a stroke.
Every day people who felt that they were without hope find renewed faith in the future through the work of the Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) Clinic. The VIM Clinic fills a critical need in the community by providing primary medical care to individuals who are not covered by any insurance programs and who do not have the financial resources to cover medical costs or purchase insurance. In many cases they can be described as “the working poor.” OUR Mission
The Volunteers in Medicine Clinic serves the health and wellness needs of the medically indigent in Martin County, Florida, through the efforts of volunteer medical personnel working in concert with current medical resources and with the support of the community.
